Introduction from the General Manager

Dear Members & Frequent Guests,

My apologies for taking so long to write to you, but since coming to Tam Dao Golf Resort, my time has been consumed with many various issues related to the future direction of the club – all for the good.
In the coming weeks, you will begin to see many changes to the club which will enhance your golfing experience and bring added value to your membership. Many of you have commented on the brown patches on the golf course. Please note that it was important for us to kill the bad grass (weeds, nut sedge and broad leaf) before replanting these areas. We are now in the second stage of the process and are transplanting new healthy turf grass to those areas.

During the Club Championship, members will receive the official Club Rules & Regulations and the By-Laws. These two books will explain all your rights as a member, as well as what is expected from you and what you can expect from us.

The restaurant will also have a new menu and reduced prices from what was offered in the past. the food quality is improved as well. However, I must remind everyone that you are not allowed to bring outside food or drink to the club, so please do not cause discomfort by the staff being forced to confiscate it or bill you for it.

By the way, if any of you have a special dish you would like to see on the menu, please do not hesitate to tell us! We would love to hear your suggestions!

We have re-instituted the $45 Tuesday / Thursday Special. This price includes all the golf holes you can play plus one 18-hole caddie fee. If you want to play more than 18 holes, just pay another caddie fee. It’s a great value.

The ladies also deserve their own special day, so we have begun a Wednesday Ladies Day Special. The price is $35 and includes 18 holes green fee / caddie fee plus set menu lunch and a beverage.

Lastly, many of you have commented that you would like to see me on the course more often and I happily agree to do so. Personally speaking, I hate being chained to a desk, but unfortunately, I was tied up on many issues. However, now that things are finally beginning to move in the right direction, I have time to be out there with you.

I am actually quite friendly and would love to hear about your golf game, families and experiences in Vietnam and elsewhere.

I also very much want to hear your suggestions and complaints because it is only through your comments that we can keep improving the club.

We are providing all members / guests with feedback forms to better understand your needs, concerns, complaints and suggestions. Please take a minute or so after your round to fill it out and help us to improve the club.

Warmest regards,

Robert Bicknell
